Amacmil304's internet "supporters"

I should make it clear straight away that I am not referring here to the various individuals and organisations who have provided links from their websites to Amacmil304's sites, or reproduced some of his messages; only to his support in the Newsgroup discussions from which the previous page of "sayings" was compiled.
While a number of people (including me) have agreed with some of what he says, it is very hard to assess the extent of support for his campaign as a whole. Here's why:
Before the spring of 2001, the words "pervert" and "nonce" never entered discussions on the internet newsgroup uk.environment.conservation. Then along came a new contributor called Pete, who gradually changed all that. The following extracts have been chosen to show a sample of many apparent contributors to the newsgroup, who write in such a similar style that they are most likely to be the same person:
Pete actually started his career with contributions to the newsgroup uk.rec.birdwatching, where he made himself unpopular with many, including world-renowned ornithologists Malcolm Ogilvie (who had been posting to newsgroups for so long that he simply used the name "Malcolm" on his messages) and the late Chris Mead:
e.g. this reply to a message by Chris Mead, 20 April 2001:
you are a twat, your opinions suck and you conservation, bridwatching ideas are just senile.
However, he soon found his way to uk.environment.conservation where he became a keen supporter of Amacmil304, and enemy of anybody who dared to oppose him:
