In his critique of this site at www.spaceforum.co.uk/killing, Angus Macmillan (Amacmil304 on the Internet) claims that the Woodland Trust were "caught out" by his campaign and forced to acknowledge that they allowed hunting. However, if you have read all of the foxhunting page so far, you will see that that is not quite true. Before the "Roots of Blood" campaign, the W.T. gave quite straightforward and accurate answers to anybody asking about their policy on hunting. For a short time in 2000-2001, the official statement was incorrectly revised as part of an attempt to make it more widely available. The reversion to the correct information may or may not have been in response to further comments by Mr Macmillan, but you might want to consider the possibility that the Woodland Trust's natural reaction is not to do what he wants.
Mr Macmillan has described what I have written on the foxhunting page as "squirming". He's entitled to his opinion, but I would suggest that when confronted by attempts to present unbiased truth he is rather at a loss, and has to resort to cheap jibes.
